Coulomb manipulation of Majorana fermions with superconducting circuits

Creation of isolated Majorana fermions, the simplest type of non-Abelian anyons, in one out of many superconductor-semiconductor hybrid systems seems reachable within a few years time. I will introduce a scheme for manipulation of Majorana fermions using existent superconducting circuits, namely transmon qubits. Within this framework I will consider in particular the minimal setup required to measure the unusual properties of Majorana fermions, and a possible implementation of a scalable quantum computer that relies on the topological properties of Majorana fermions.
