Nonlinear fluctuating hydrodynamics and anharmonic chains

Rather commonly, Hamiltonian systems at nonzero temperature in one spatial dimension have short range static correlations, but long-lived excitations. The slowest modes are the locally conserved fields. To capture their universal behavior we develop a nonlinear version of fluctuating hydrodynamics. The best studied systems are classical anharmonic chains. We compare with MD simulations.
