Towards verifiable quantum advantage with 100 logical qubits

Dominik Hangleiter

In the current state of the field of quantum computation, the question how to most efficiently make use of fault-tolerant quantum resources comes into focus. For this talk, I will have in mind the next generation of quantum computers with rouughly 100 logical qubits and logical gate errors on the order of 1e-6. I will discuss different routes towards verifiable quantum advantage using IQP circuits on fault-tolerant devices. First, I will talk about logical fidelity estimation based on the naturally available syndrome data. Then, I will discuss some possible approaches towards classical verification based on hiding secrets in otherwise random-looking circuits.
