Extremal black holes in DSSYK - From fermions to flat space quantum gravity

Thomas Tappeiner

The double scaled Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model (DSSYK) has offered a rich playground for understanding UV complete quantum gravity and cosmology. The goal of this talk is to explain how this model offers a natural setting to describe the quantum dynamics of the mysterious ultracold limit of charged black holes in 4d de Sitter spacetime. After reviewing this black hole solution and the exact solution of the DSSYK model I will turn to relating these models and explaining how this resolves long standing puzzles of flat space JT-gravity.
