Neural quantum states: an overview

Markus Schmitt

Neural quantum states (NQS) are emerging as a versatile tool to tackle the quantum many-body problem. In particular, when dealing with correlated lattice models in intermediate spatial dimensions or with more complex interaction patterns, such as those occurring in molecules, NQS approaches have been shown to expand our computational capabilities. After introducing the basic ideas of the numerical machinery, I will give an overview of recent developments in the field.
