Testings Bell tests: How statistical analysis can improve experiments

Bell tests are the prime example of device-independent experiments where hence the specific design of the experimental devices does not influence the conclusions of the experiment. However, using statistical analysis of data from Bell tests one can show, for example, that an explanation of the data requires superluminal communication. Is this a breakdown of special relativity? In this talk I will discuss why one should not jump to the latter conclusion and how data analysis could be used to eventually improve experimental setups---if desired by the research community. https://uni-koeln.zoom.us/j/6233837377
