Emergence of gravity from 2D conformal field theory

I will present three mechanisms for emergence of gravity from 2D conformal field theory (CFT). Two of them are based on entanglement, exemplifying the intricate relation between quantum information and quantum gravity, and one on a deformation of the CFT with an irrelevant operator. While the context of this work is holography, the mechanisms themselves are non-holographic. The resulting gravitational system is of direct relevance to the set-up used in recent papers reporting significant progress on the black hole information paradox
