Spins in Organic Optoelectronic Materials and Devices

A/P Dane Mc Caney

Spin plays a central role in a wide range of optoelectonic processes in organic materials and devices. I will introduce electrical and optical detection schemes for electron spin resonance (ESR), which can be used to probe the Optoelectronic properties of organic electronic devices. I will then discuss results of ESR experiments on materials for singlet fission, electrical and optical detection of ESR in organic light emitting diodes, and correlations between ESR and magnetoluminescence and magnetoconductivity experiments in OLEDs.
